Every Certa-Spec home inspection comes with a free visual mold inspection.

A certified Certa-Spec inspector will perform a visual non-intrusive examination of the property to identify areas were mold is present or susceptible to moisture intrusion that may be conducive to microbial growth. The intent of the inspection is to identify areas that may be in need of microbial sampling.

When we perform a mold inspection, we will note conditions that may lead to mold growth. However, because you may not have time to have these problems fixed, every Certa-Spec inspection comes with MoldSafe. Buy with confidence knowing that you are covered for mold remediation for any mold that was not present during the inspection, up to $2,000, for the first 90 days after the inspection or 30 days after closing escrow, whichever is later.

What is mold?
